Northern Illinois university graduate Valencia Baez a professional character designer and illustrator based in Chicago Illinois. 

I tell stories - “becoming of age stories” from kids becoming teens and teens becoming adults. When I was younger, there were not many stories that had a Mexican girl like me in them. I felt left out. So now, I create stories and illustrations that include me. I want people to relate to my stories, feel what my characters feel cry, laugh, or smile or be angry to feel inspired.
